Hi, everyone. I'm sure we've all been... Less than happy with this new dA formatting. I've seen many people, both mutuals and friends, log off for good, or at least for a long while. I wanted to talk about my own journey in terms of this. I used to love this site, truly. I've been here for five years, and I watched writing- specifically, reader-inserts- peak. I watched fandoms grow and actually be enjoyable for us writers, even on a site that was primarily for art. Things have changed, and not for the better. Especially not for us in the literature department. The reception, the interaction- none of it is the same anymore. I'm so disconnected to what everyone is talking about here on dA and to be vulgar, that sucks ass. This site- again, at least for writers- is dying. And what's the point of writing on a site where no one looks? Don't get me wrong. I enjoy writing and fan reception was never a big thing for me. I have always written what makes me happy.
